According to the new decision issued by Director General of Public Authority for Manpower Ahmad Al-Mousa, work permits for expatriate personnel can be issued for three years, renewable thereafter. The application for renewal of work permit can be submitted three months before the expiry date of the work permit, reports Arab Times daily.
Also the daily reported that expatriate workers can transfer their work permit to a different sponsor after three years from the date of its issuance without the approval of his sponsor, provided the sponsor is granted the allotted notice period. With the approval of sponsor, expatriate workers can transfer the sponsorship after one year from the date of issuance of the work permit, daily added.
The new decision issued to organize and introduce several changes to the private sector also allows the transfer of dependant visa to private sector’s work visa after the visa holder completes one year of residence in Kuwait.
