ओमान एयरलाई नेपाल र ओमानबीच सीधा हवाई उडान गर्न पर्यटन तथा नागरिक उड्डयन मन्त्रालयले अनुमति प्रदान गरेको छ । सो उडानसम्बन्धी सम्झौतामा नेपाल र ओमान सरकारबीच सम्झौतासमेत सम्पत्र भएको छ । ओमान एयरले आउँदो जुनको तेस्रो सातादेखि ओमान–काठमाडौं–ओमान खण्डमा प्रतिहप्ता सात उडान गर्ने योजना प्रस्तुत गरेको छ ।
ओमान एयरको उडान सञ्चालनले नेपाल सरकारले नेपाल पर्यटन वर्ष २०११ मा १० लाख पर्यटक भित्र्याउन राखेको लक्ष्य प्राप्तिमा थप टेवा पुग्ने विश्वास लिएको मन्त्रालयले जनाएको छ । नेपाल र ओमानबीचको सीधा हवाई सम्पर्कले वैदेशिक रोजगारीको सिलसिलामा ओमान जाने नेपालीलाई सहज हुने बताइएको छ ।
