His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received a Letter of Credence from H E Madhuban Prasad Paudel in which he was appointed as the first residential Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the State of Kuwait, at the Bayan Palace this morning. During a short meeting held immediately after the Credential ceremony, His Highness the Amir asked the Ambassador to convey his warm greetings to His Excellency President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and stated that Kuwait was a good friend of Nepal and always wished political stability in and economic development of Nepal.
Ambassador Paudel also paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al –Salem Al-Sabah, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  Matters of bilateral interests were discussed at the meeting. Ambassador Paudel apprised the deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister about the presence of a large community of Nepali nationals in Kuwait. The Minister also assured him of all cooperation in the operation of the new Embassy. His Excellency Mr. Khaled Al-Jarallah, Undersecretary (Foreign Secretary) and other high officials were also present on the occasion.
